Egg Crêpes by Carol of Simply Gluten Free (used with permission)
Welcome to the May edition of the Naturally Gluten Free Roundup series!
For those of you who are new to this roundup, each month I feature fantastic sounding naturally gluten free recipes that I find across the blogosphere – while the bloggers on this list may not all be completely gluten free, these particular recipes are, and I hope help to highlight the diversity and ease of making wonderful gluten free food at home without a long list of crazy flours or substitutions. After all, what is easier than just being able to read and make a recipe as is? :)
There were some really great creative ideas this month, and I changed up the categories a little bit to add in a breakfast category – where you can learn how to make granola out of lentils, muffins from eggs, hashbrowns out of millet, and one of my favorite ideas that I must try soon, crêpes out of eggs! Quinoa seemed to be a big hit in salads and vegetarian dishes, which I think illustrates how well quinoa pairs with fresh produce. I love how the Springtime (and soon to be Summer) has everyone going for bright and lighter fare full of color and zing, such as the two amazing looking lettuce wrap recipes I came across this month. And for desserts we have some gorgeous looking custard based dishes along with gorgeous and elegant frozen desserts featuring some of the season’s best delights. Hope you enjoy!
